They have most of the vinyl up now. Here is how things are looking.

The house is wired, plumbed, framed, and insulated. The vinyl and sheet-rock is being put up this week. We now have a covered deck as well. Things are coming along and we are pleased with the progress.

Back of the house

The framing on the house is almost complete. Here are some pictures that were taken in the past few weeks.

View from the 2nd Story of the house facing the Mt.

I found the picture below in my archives. It was taken on 9/4/2002 and show the land where our house is now back 5 years ago. As you can see it used to be a tobacco field.
The framers have gotten the plywood down on the first floor. You can now go out and walk on the floor. It really seems high up on the ground and due to the trenches around the basement there are some big drops.
You can see in the image below the progress the framers made at the first of the week.

The picture below show the floor with plywood. You can also see one of our steel beams on the ground.

This picture shows the front and rear walls that the framers began working on at the end of this week.
They estimate that the first floor will be completed by the end of next week.

Steps down the the Dungeon

This picture shows how muddy it is around our house right now.

The framers have got a couple of walls in our basement and are now working on the Floor. Rain has been a major factor and the construction site is a huge mud hole now. Things are going nicely though.
The picture below is taken from the basement garage door. You can see the wall that was framed in.

Conner is inspecting the progress of the house in the Picture below.

The weather has delayed the progress on our house a bit. On the days that it has been sunny, workers have started framing the house.
Here is the framing crew working away on our house:
